The Quarantine has been Lifted

Adam and Eve are free now. We’ve opened the door to let them loose in the house. Our biggest concern was confrontation with our old cat Schmiego, who might be less excited about his young playmates than we were. He’d just begun to enjoy his feline monopoly after his bossy sister had died this summer. Fortunately he will not give up his position. He tolerates the youngsters generously, as long as they don’t come too close. He will not give up his favourite spots on the radiator or in the corner of the sofa.
Eve finds him very intriguing and is actually flirting with him, cooing and rubbing her young body against the leg of a chair. At other times she is more interested in playing with her brother, jumping elegantly in the air, their backs arched, their tails curved.
We, however, are still scary. Whenever we come close, they scurry behind the furniture.
