Chocolate Sauce

-
I'm not much of a dessert person, as you may have noticed, but this is an easy recipe.

Dissolve 6 rounded tablespoons of sugar in 1/4 pint of water (about 125 cc) over a low heat. Bring to the boil and simmer for one minute. Take off the heat. Whisk in 4 rounded tablespoons of cocoa until the sauce is smooth. Allow to cool, stirring now and then until it thickens. Delicious over vanilla ice cream and fruit.

For warm chocolate sauce: melt dark chocolate au bain marie, stir in double cream and/or milk to loosen. Serve over above! Equally delicious.
